Creative Profile
About Eventeriors by Jacqueline Harris
Meet Jacqueline Harris, who started this journey over 30 years ago, by assisting her mother in planning/decor for her sister's wedding. Two years later the pair transformed a small, in-law cottage in her grandparent's backyard, into a 2 bedroom, one bath, cozy apartment for the same sister, who retired from the US Airforce, due to illness.
Jacqueline worked as Independent Consultant for "Home Interiors & Gifts" for many years, which allowed her to received training in interior design, staging techniques, floral arrangement and decor selection and sales. In 2001, Jacqueline came up with the vision to create "Southern Occasions", a partnership, with her mother and mother-in-law, offering catering and event planning services/decor for local clients. Jacqueline managed the event planning and decor activities for the firm's many weekend engagements, while working full-time in the IT industry.
In 2017, Jacqueline decided to transition her division to a separate corporate entity, working from her home office, offering expanded services through her new vision: (1) providing customized event, interior and exterior design management services, (2) Professional Organization services, (3) Creating unique and complementary decor for projects and (4) Coaching event planning/interior design entrepreneurs in virtual (on-line) management/marketing of their businesses. Since Jacqueline's business focus is on "Event management (weddings, social events), Interiors (residential and commercial) and Exteriors (Porches, Patios and Decks)..."Eventeriors by Jacqueline" was born and offers job opportunities to other entrepreneurs who share the same passion for planning events/decorating and wish to work primarily from home as well.
This talented individual is always on the lookout for the next great project and/or aspiring entrepreneur that she can take to the next level, and is dedicated to providing customized and creative solutions. The projects that Eventeriors by Jacqueline takes on are both environmentally mindful and highly focused on each client’s individual needs. At the heart of each project is the ability to enhance the space by paying close attention to how people interact with each environment they are in. The decor that she creates is primarily her own visions brought to life, but can be tailored to complement a client's desires, to fulfill the project's requirements, if necessary. The coaching/ training solutions are customized to the entrepreneur's years of experience in event planning/interior design and business/technical knowledge and abilities.
Jacqueline's motivation to continue in this and other endeavors, in which she is involved, is based on Jesus' parable of the talents in the Bible. When you use the talents that Jehovah gives you, he magnifies those talents. Her natural talent to bring beautiful visions to life is just one of Jehovah's many gifts to her, for which she is extremely grateful. Get in touch to learn more today!

John Fitzpatrick
Harnett High School Alumni Reunion - 2018
This client’s project required event management for the 50th anniversary of the annual weekend reunion activities, whose highlights included a "Sports Hall of Fame Night" on the first night and a "Formal Evening of Elegance" on the second night. The project scope included planning, design/creation of decor, and setup of rooms in two locations for dinner, dancing, a keynote speaker and the presentation of awards. The alumni committee, whose members were now in their 60s/70s, needed younger people to step in and assist. Jacqueline Harris of Eventeriors by Jacqueline was the perfect solution to this need.
Jacqueline now serves as the Event Coordinator for the Alumni committee, and will provide event management consultation for all future events.
Actual Client Testimonial: "Jackie did a tremendous job as the Event Coordinator for our first ever reunion weekend of activities, held in the Dunn area. With her attention to detail requirements, she used the school colors to design customized, whimsical creations symbolizing our mascot and sports events for the Hall of Fame Awards Night" and elegant tablescapes /backdrop for the "Evening of Elegance Prom Night", she set the stage for future events to be hosted by our organization."

Dollar Tree Baby Boy Decor on Steriods - Shower for Amber McKoy
This project was an impromptu baby shower for the client's sister & brother-n-law, with the added challenge of finding a suitable location that would be available for a date, two weeks out, creating decor using Dollar Tree "baby boy" items as a "foundational" base and working with a limited budget. Jacqueline was able to assist the client/family in touring/selecting a location, planning/designing the event details, creating the decor and setting up the room. The whimsical tablescapes were made with Eventeriors' owned white tablecloths and centerpieces using Eventerior's vases/floral stands coupled with DT florals, "its a boy themed" baby-shower accessories, cotton balls/swabs, plastic cups, baby blocks, shoes, strollers, ribbons, plates, couple, napkins and cutlery. The food/desert table was also flanked with white table cloths, blue/yelllow runners and Jacqueline's personal set of white serving trays/bowls, silver chafing dishes, and beverage dispensers, accented with coordinating ribbons/flowers. This event was held at the Days Inn, Dunn, NC.
Actual Client Testimonial: "Jackie, you did a great job on Amber' shower, as always. We'll definitely use you again for our future events."
Vermadene Jones
Custom Accent Pieces to Accent Client's Home
Ms. Vermadene wanted custom decor items to add to the existing color scheme that she uses throughout her home, i.e. slate blue, chocolate brown, and ivory. To address this need, Jacqueline performed an exhaustive search to find florals, ribbons and accent pieces that complemented this unique color palate. Once located, she designed and created an indoor wreath and two coffee bar inspired wall sconces, by enhancing metal frames with these items, for her kitchen. Additionally, she made complimentary, floral arrangements for the client's bedroom, by creating arrangements for two empty, porcelain vases, that were sitting on the client's bedroom dresser.
As Ms. Vermadene is an elderly, client on dialysis, Jacqueline delivered the completed items to her home and physically hung/placed the items in locations that added the maximum "wow factor" to the rooms selected for this project.
Actual Client Testimonial: "Jackie did a great job, paying attention to my style and taste, and incorporating this into the unique creations that she made for my home."
Angelica Harris
Beach Theme Accents for New Apartment
This client had always dreamed of living on/near a beach and envisioned having her home decorated with items that inspired that feeling of the seashore, all of the time. This had now become more anticipated, since she recently made arrangements to move to Wilmington, NC, putting her within 15 minutes of three, beautiful beaches. When she hired Eventeriors by Jacqueline, after a few ideation meetings, Jacqueline shared her design concept of creating/purchasing beach inspired decor for every room in the new, luxury resort apartment. With a mindful approach, the end result of this project was something both amazing and unexpected - and Angelica loved it.
Actual Client Testimonial: "Everything is beautiful and amazing and I love it so much. Thank you Jacqueline for making my new apartment, my home."
Robin Cornish-Paniagua
"My Best Friend's Wedding" - White, Silver and Diamonds New Years Eve 2017 Wedding
Some clients know exactly what they want from a project!! This describes my dear friend, sister, and grad-school colleague, Robin Cornish to a tee. Receiving notification in early November that Robin wanted to get married on New Years Eve of the same year, Jacqueline quickly came to the aid of her sister, flew to Maryland at the end of the same week and assisted her in mapping out a 2-month plan of activities that would allow Robin and her fiance' Jaime, to have the elegant wedding of Robin's dreams. This project was taken on as an exception, due to the short amount of time that Jacqueline would have to "work her magic", but she was able to complete most of the work remotely, via teleconferences and a few intermittent trips between the two states, prior to/and including traveling up 4 days prior to the actual date of the wedding.
In the case of this New Years Eve wedding, it took many targeted, virtual consultation meetings to come up with exactly what this client was looking for. As Robin is a hands-on bride, she and Jacqueline worked together in planning the tablescapes and purchasing vases, crystals, submersible lights, floating candles, etc. To this Jacqueline added many surprise elements/gifts that enhanced the "wow-factor" for the bridal table and custom-created all of the floral/rhinestone embellished, bridal party accessories. Both the bride and groom ended up being extremely satisfied with the end result, for their special day. (The photo above includes the custom, "white roses & rhinestones," bridal bouquets for the bride and matron of honor, created by Jacqueline for this glamorous event. The bride is also featured, holding her bouquet, which perfectly complemented her rhinestone embellished, white wedding dress in the introductory pro-gallery containing Jacqueline's decor creations/recreations.)
Actual Client Testimonial: "Jacqueline, my sister, matron-of honor and friend, thank you so much for making our wedding day, more special than we ever imagined it could be. Jaime and I will always love you for this."
